Our World
Beyond the last watering hole stretches the Goldenreach — a boundless savannah where rival lion prides compete not with teeth and claws, but with fortune and nerve. Every spin of the great Stone Drums echoes across the plains, summoning coins forged from sunlight and red clay.
The boldest pride gathers the most Sunstones, earning bragging rights at the Council Baobab. No beast has ever traded a Sunstone for anything real — and that, the elders say, is exactly what keeps the game honest.

Meet the Mascot
Khari — Battle-Scarred Lion General
Khari is a grizzled but good-natured commander of the pride — he roars encouragement after every spin and never lets a cub walk away empty-pawed.
Khari earned his notched ear in the first Sunstone Rally three generations ago, back when the Goldenreach was still uncharted scrubland. He led a small pride of outcasts to an unexpected victory at the Council Baobab and has never stopped rallying newcomers since. Khari refuses to retire because, in his words, "the plains still need a general who spins for sport, not spoils." He now serves as the living emblem of Lion Pride War, greeting every player like a long-lost cub.
How Free Play Works
Starting Balance
Every visitor is handed a fresh stash of 5,000 Sunstones the moment they set foot on the Goldenreach. No purchase, no sign-up — the plains are generous to newcomers.
Zero Risk
No real money is ever required — no deposits, no purchases, no credit cards. Sunstones carry no monetary value whatsoever and cannot be exchanged for anything tangible. Play bold, pardner, there's nothing to lose.
Refilling
When the dust settles and your pouch runs dry, simply refresh the page. Khari himself will toss you a fresh stash — 5,000 Sunstones, no questions asked. The savannah never runs out of sunlight.
Our Games
Savannah Drums
Three ancient stone drums roll across the plains — line up the pride symbols and watch the Sunstones pile high.
Rules
- Match 3 identical symbols on any horizontal line to win.
- The Khari Wild symbol substitutes for every other symbol.
- All wins are paid in Sunstones only — they carry no real-money value and cannot be cashed out.
Baobab Wheel
Give the great Council Wheel a mighty spin and see where the branch points — fortune favours the fearless pride.
Rules
- Spend 15 Sunstones to spin the Baobab Wheel once.
- The wheel stops on one segment — your Sunstones are multiplied by that value.
- Free segments return your stake. All winnings are virtual and carry no real-money value.
Watering Hole Flip
A dusty deck of Savannah Cards waits face-down at the watering hole — call higher or lower and double your haul.
Rules
- A card is revealed — predict whether the next card is higher or lower.
- Guess right and your Sunstones double. Guess wrong and they're gone.
- All winnings are Sunstones only — they have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.
Studio Team
Claire Tremblay
Studio Director
Claire cut her teeth building board games in a Montréal garage back in 2019. She founded the studio with one rule that's never budged: if a player has to open a wallet, we've failed. On weekends she scouts flea markets for vintage animal figurines.
Dayo Oladipo
Lead Game Engineer
Dayo writes the code that makes reels feel alive — the tiny pause before they stop is his obsession. Before joining the pride he built physics sims for indie studios in Lagos and Toronto.
Ingrid Svensson
Art Director
Ingrid grew up sketching Serengeti wildlife documentaries frame by frame. Every lion mane, every acacia shadow, every dust particle on this site started as her pencil line before it went digital.
Rafael Mendes
Sound & Animation Designer
Rafael records everything — wind through tall grass, the thud of a drum, the rumble of a distant storm. He layers those field recordings into every spin so the savannah never feels silent.
Anika Gill
Community & Responsible Play Lead
Anika runs the player community and writes every line of our responsible-play guidelines. She spent five years in harm-reduction research before deciding games could use the same principles.
Our Story
Lion Pride War started in 2021 when a small crew of game designers in Toronto realised that the thrill of a spinning reel shouldn't cost anyone a cent. Three of us came from tabletop design, two from indie video-game studios, and one from wildlife conservation — which is how the savannah theme stuck.
We spent two years prototyping browser-only mini-games that felt exciting without ever touching real money. By 2023 we shipped our first public build, and we haven't charged a single player since. Every Sunstone on the platform is free, every game is open to anyone 19 or older, and that principle is written into our founding charter. The pride keeps growing — and so does our roster of free games.
Responsible Play
At Lion Pride War, we reckon the savannah is at its finest when every beast at the watering hole feels safe and in good spirits. This is a 19+ environment built for grown-ups in Canada who fancy a free spin without the sting. Savannah Drums, Baobab Wheel, Watering Hole Flip — every last game here runs on Sunstones you never paid a cent for, and the only thing at stake is a hearty chuckle or a triumphant roar.
No real money flows in, and no real money flows out. Sunstones cannot be exchanged for tangible prizes, currency, or goods of any kind. Even so, we stand firm that responsible play habits matter on a free-to-play platform. Virtual or not, these games should stay in the realm of lighthearted entertainment — never obligation.
If the thrill of the spin ever stops feeling like fun, or if you notice it creeping into time better spent elsewhere, step away from the campfire. Professional support services are available in Canada — visit our Responsible Play page for full guidance and helpline details. Khari will hold your seat, pardner. No rush.
